For Erin Bellissimo, military life isn’t just familiar — it’s foundational.

Originally from Maryland, Erin and her husband met more than 20 years ago as cadets at the United States Air Force Academy. Since then, military service has remained central to their lives as they built a family of seven (plus a puppy) and settled in Colorado.

Erin is dual-affiliated within the military community: a U.S. Air Force veteran and current reservist, as well as an active-duty spouse. Connected to military service since 2003, she currently serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserve and works as an Admissions Liaison Officer for the Air Force Academy, helping guide students who aspire to attend the Academy.
