Born and raised in Saint Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Elisa Linton brings the blend of resilience, heart, and service that defines the Compass Military Division. An Army Combat Veteran, Elisa served for eight years. She deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning honors such as the Army Commendation Medal (ARCOM) and Army Good Conduct Medal.

Today, she leads the Elisa Linton & Co. Group powered by Compass, offering a full suite of strategic, community-minded real estate services to veterans, first-time homebuyers, and families across Houston.

Through her work, Elisa empowers clients to understand their benefits, leverage their purchasing power, and make confident decisions in an ever-changing market. As the President of the Veteran Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP) Houston Chapter, Elisa is committed to elevating education, advocacy, and access for military families.

Turning “Not Right Now” Into “Yes, You Can”

One of Elisa’s most meaningful experiences involved a veteran who had been denied for a home loan and told he needed to wait before trying again. He was devastated.

When he was referred to Elisa, she immediately reframed the conversation:
“No” doesn’t mean “never.” It simply means “not right now – let’s build a plan.”

Together, they developed a six-month action roadmap:

• Improving his credit
• Increasing his disability rating, which strengthened income
• Reducing his debt-to-income ratio
• Securing a new construction home scheduled to finish right when he would be financially ready
  

Over the next several months, he documented the build of his future home – watching his progress line up with the home’s progress. And at closing, he received 100% of his earnest money back.
